Customer Terms:

Customers are subject to any and all rules adopted by Local Roots Food Co-op, and these rules may be amended from time to time without notice to or consent by the customer. Sales tax will be charged on dues and orders where applicable. A customer's registration may be terminated at any time by Local Roots Food Co-op in its sole discretion. Only adults may become registered customers. A customer must be validly registered to participate in the Local Roots Food Co-op program.

Upon registration, each customer will choose a convenient location for picking up orders each week. All customers will register with the Co-op and pay seasonal dues. The dues cover administrative costs associated with records, payments and marketing of the Co-op Program throughout the season. Dues must be received prior to purchasing any items through the Co-op Program.

Order pick up will be each Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at your designated pick up location.

Co-op customers are responsible for keeping Local Roots Food Co-op up to date with current contact information including a current e-mail address and telephone numbers in order to receive notification of product updates, schedule adjustments and other events. Customers will place weekly orders on the website between Friday evening and Monday evening each week for Thursday pick up. All payments will be made through the customer's PayPal account on the website. To ensure timely payment to our farmers, all items ordered will be paid for in advance and adjustments to accounts will only be made when missing or damaged items are recorded by the Site Coordinator during pick up hours. All missing and/or damaged items must be recorded on site in order for adjustments to accounts to be made.

In the event that there is an unfulfilled delivery due to missing or damaged product, a credit will be made available online for members to apply to the next ordering cycle. We are unable to apply credits back to member's credit card accounts due to data privacy restrictions with PayPal. Refund checks are available in lieu of online credits at the member's discretion.

Please note that orders are perishable and Local Roots Food Co-op is not responsible for products that are not picked up between 3 and 6 p.m. on Thursday. In the event there is an emergency and the customer is unable to pick up their order, please contact the Site Coordinator at your designated pick up site as soon as possible and every effort will be made to arrange for an alternate pick up.

In keeping with our concern for the environment and sustainable practices, please bring your own cloth bags or boxes to your pick up location each week to collect your order. Perishable, refrigerated and frozen products will be stored in ice packed coolers and will be clearly labeled so that customers can easily retrieve their orders. Please be considerate of other customer orders when retrieving your items and be sure to check labels and orders carefully before leaving the pick up site to ensure you have the correct order and that it is complete. Once you leave the pick up location the weekly transaction cycle is complete and adjustments will no longer be made to your account.
